Went to the one in Boston Saturday! Did they price it $51.50 a plate on purpose? Had 2 beers and left the place meat drunk.... I took em... Every onslaught of meat was easily put down... Did have to call in the 2nd stomach battalion |

Quoted: That place is off the hook. I ruined their profit margin the one night I went. I bet I ate 4 lbs of filet mignon. They kept bringing chicken and I kept saying no Everyone should go there. All the sides were excellent as well.Jim Yeah 5 electricians, 2 wiring ladies and the project manager killed any profit that night! Off the hook! |

Went to Texas de Brazil a while back and loved it. I refused to eat anything but meat. If I'm paying 50+ and it is all you can eat I'm not filling up on other shit. Really want to try Fogo some time. You will find it less salty than TdB and brasilians I prefer it. Though TdB is awesome. My favorite ? Rodizzio |
When my buddy still worked in DC I went up there one weekend to see him. We decided to not eat all day and them go to Fogo around 3pm and chow down. It was expensive but we manged. I remember hitting the salad bar/side dish buffet to get out plates. We each got 1 stalk of asparagus and then sat for a few hours and ate delicious meat.
They opened a Brazilian steakhouse up downtown here recently, we are planning our future attack. |

Sodium overload. I can't drink enough water a few hours after eating there...talk about parched. With that said, their meat is OK for a chain restaurant. I stopped taking girls there after they filled up on the salad bar and cheese bread. There is always one. I usually describe them as people who would complain if you were giving away $100.00 bills because they have to stick their hand out. |

I still go there and it's still good...I'm just saying for a $150-200 dinner, you can get some really good meat. Shit, if it was free I'd eat there every night. |

Not a good place for most women to be honest... If you're not going to be eating over a pound of meat don't bother :p That said if you're hungry and you get your money's worth it can be a damn fine meal. My only suggestion is go when it's busy, the meat is much much better and usually a better selection. |

We told em, booze and meat! They had a full plate of the salad bar But once the meat came out, like any good chick they took it on |

And the constant, "so wait...I flip this over if I want more?! This is confusing!". I'm cool with them eating salad and olives, but they better eat the salad bar clean if they're not eating much meat. |

They had a full plate of the salad bar But once the meat came out, like any good chick they took it on You're joking, right? I love salt and would put salt on my salt if I ate salt as a meal. It's not exactly a secret that Brazilian steakhouses load up on the salt. You're not eating enough when you're there if you don't want to drink Lake Michigan later that night. |

Last time I was in Vegas I did Texas de Brazil one night and then Fogo the next to do a comparison. Three of us went to both and all three agreed that Texas de Brazil was the better of the two places.
I rarely made a trip to Memphis where I didn't go have drinks in the Peabody lobby and dinner at Texas de Brazil. The second time I went there the maître de greeted me by name. And I hadn't been there for two months. Now that is service. |

It's like a Casino at Fogo. There's people watching your table, trying to make sure the "house" wins. If you aren't buying booze, you will notice that the expensive cuts seem to pass you as the meal progresses.
Sure, they'll bring it at the beginning, but later on, they will walk right past you.

The key is to find the floor manager. Meet him, shake his hand. Maybe slip him a 5 or a 10. From that point forward you will want for nothing. They are the ones that direct the servers, they will take care of you if you take care of them.
I once pissed off a VP of my company at Rendezvous in Memphis. I came in with my crew of techs and installers to treat them to an end of project well deserved dinner. When we got there the VP had a few higher ups with him and he was waiting on a table. I spotted the maître de, caught his eyes and he came over. I shook his hand and the 20 bucks in my hand disappeared. I glanced at the asshole VP and told the guy that if we got a table before him he would get another 20. The VP had been waiting 45 minutes and we were seated within 5. My boss was there and she had no idea what I had done, neither did the VP. He was pissed, she was impressed it was a good night and it only cost me 40 bucks. |

Yes, they are awesome! Bring your appetite and ignore the first eight feet of the buffet and you will leave a happy man/woman. Great food. They do bring the chicken rotisserie guy around your table more than the beef guys, though...don't fall for that! Ain't nobody got time fo chicken!
If you like Argentininan cuisine buffet style, The Knife at several locations in south Florida has an amazing selection, including some fantastic sweetbreads and stuffed sausage. With either restaurant, however, I recommend you make it your ONLY meal of the day! |

It's a touch expensive but I never walked out of there not stuffed and feel as if I didn't get my money's worth. Love the place. Where they really loose money is on my kid, kids under 5 eat for free and my 3 yr old can flat out put some damage down on meat.
Avoid the salad bar as much as possible and wait for the meat to come around. Be choosy and wait for their Tenderloin, Lamb and filet although I like their garlic house salad. |

Love Fogo and there's another in Houston that I've forgotten now, both are great.
Years ago, my wife took me to Fogo on March 14th, Steak and BJ day. After dinner, she goes to the bathroom and the waiter comes over with the bill and asks if we are celebrating anything tonight...I tell him, "yeap, march 14th". He thinks for a sec, smiles and wandered off. When my wife comes back he picks up the check and says have a nice rest of the night...oh he knew. I don' eat alot at buffets but I will hurt myself eating at Fogo. |

Rodizio is McDonalds in comparison to Fogo. Texas De Brazil is every bit as good though. |

Hate to say it but if you went to fogo de chaõ in BOSTON, you did it wrong. Much better and cheaper churrascaria in the area... +1 Never been to Boston, but know there are a lot of Brasileans there. A lot around here too. I like Fogo, but have been telling people for years to go to the smaller buffets in the area with churrascarias. |
Everyone should go there. All the sides were excellent as well.
