My gen 4 glock 19 did this( known issue) and I sent it in. No problems since..

Hey it goes bang, it works exactly as designed.
You should be wearing eyepro, even when someone invades your house at 3am, don't you know anything? If you are and its irritating just how the hell are you gonna function when bombs are going off in your face or (insert some other shit that'll never happen)?

They fixed it til it broke and everyone refuses to admit it.

I have shot many, many glocks and have never had this problem.  I have however seen small females experience this while shooting glocks.

There's your problem. Either send it to the factory with a complaint, or look into swapping parts on your own.

Gen4 Brass-To-Face (BTF) is a known problem, ditto some later Gen3 pistols (oddly, the ones roughly coinciding with the Gen4 release...). There are fixes out there; lots of folks have had good luck with different factory parts. Some needed aftermarket help, and some needed actual machining done (the latter being extremely rare, even among the problem guns).

You're lucky that yours showed the problem up front, rather than after 2000 rounds or so.

"Homie" model Glock.  Normal ejection Glocks throw brass in the face when shooting gangsta, so they fixed it.

Check your ejector is the latest version, part number 30275.

[#17]
Because Glocks suck. You're not doing it wrong, and you're not limp wristing as the Glocksuckers like to say you are when their pistol is being a piece of shit and throwing brass at the shooter's face due to poor extractor and ejector design.

The constant stove pipes make brass collection easy?

Make sure you have the newest parts available. .. call Glock with your serial number handy.  If they want to inspect and update it, bitch until they agree to lay the shipping.

If it's a 9mm, see if the side of the ejector has a 30274 (updated) or 336 on the side.

Glock isn't perfection.

There are fanbois here that will say that the brass flying in your face is OK, as long as the gun is a Glock, because it's a Glock.

IMHO, its a major flaw.

You're not shooing it wrong most likely. I have had the same problems with Gen 3 and 4 Glock 19's and 17's.

Known issue with G19.4

Do a little googling but you'll want to make sure you have the most up-to-date versions of the ejector and extractor and likely the recoil-spring assembly.

If still doing it after those changes call Glock and demand satisfaction.

It's a known problem with gen 4 and later gen 3 guns. Switch to the 30274 ejector, and if that doesn't work call glock and make them fix it.

My glock 19 did it bad until I got the updated ejector, stovepiped once a magazine too.  I still get one to the face every few hundred rounds, but I shoot the gun so well at this point I don't want to get rid of it.

Can never be the gun when shooting Glocks. "Its how your holding it" or "its the ammo's fault" or "the weather was too warm" or "the mouth breather neck beard shooting next to you was breathing too hard and blowing the brass into your face"

I bought a g17 from Aim, a shit load of mags and some other goodies.
I was going to become a Glock guy.
I got through about a mag and a half. It has been in the safe ever since. Tried to sell it on the EE and only had kooks come out.

this became more common when they switched to an MIM extractor.  try hotter ammo (124 gr NATO) and see if that helps

Hah, my first Glock is recent, a Gen 4 model 19, and it threw some rounds back at me.

Shot 100 rnds of WWB through it flawless yesterday, I was surprised! I anticipated picking up brass at my feet, but instead was a few yards back! I expect CZ to be about 10 yards back.

I guess I finally man-handled pistol!
