using an unlocked ATT samsung note 1 as a modem with a tmobile sim with foxfi installed to provide the wifi connection for the dropcam ( unlimited data ) just seeing how it looks and how long its stable for .. been running all day .. so far so good. its just a parked vehicle with a camera pointed out. stream has sound. looking for feedback on the stream. again nothing exciting.. just cam cam looking thru a Rubicon windshield. https://www.dropcam.com/p/NVoNOI i will shut the stream down at 5pm central.. enjoy my parking lot

So one could purchase the camera, place it in their window of their home and you're good to go? Just need wifi? Edit: Looks like there isn't a way to record what goes on without paying for a subscription your correct you need a subscription to record. you get two weeks free recording then you can only stream. some people say you can deactivate the camera at the end of your two week free period and re register for another two weeks free. ( different email and different log in ) I can not confirm or deny that works

It will tell the tale once you start moving, and when the light starts dimming. As long as nothing moves, there's no real need for refresh. But when the entire screen is changing, that's when you'll see how the encoder thingy does.
Also... I know nothing about this system, but if you can view it on your computer, you can get any number of screen recording programs. Might be an alternative to paying. Shawn What will they go for on BF? |

Shawn What will they go for on BF? the dropcam HD will 99 on black friday this one is the dropcam pro.. i am within 10 minutes of away from driving away camera might restart when i turn on the jeep so expect that. let me know if you wanna hang around to see that see that .. my plan was to turn it off @ 5pm but if ONE person wants to see ,,, then i will drive to show how it looks. edit .. keep in mind i did this cause i was bored .. it might suck when i start moving.. but the designed application is a stationary mount .. i think its doing ok at that part.. |
