Picked up season one at Wally World. Going to spend the afternoon watching it. Also got the WWII movie Midway for $5

It's been reported before but I haven't been able to find Midway at my Walmart.
I loved the Rat Patrol as a kid. So I picked up all three seasons a couple years ago. It was all I could do to make it through the.first season. Seasons Two and Three are still new in the wrap. |
Saw an original Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) truck at the Imperial War Museum London.

I never made it to the end of episode 3, it was so bad. |

WWII had only been over for 21 years by the time it aired. Most of the target audience had grown up with WWII vets or had heard the WWII stories from neighbors or relatives. That's what makes it watchable.

Quoted: Rat Patrol was good, but Combat ruled. Sgt. Saunders was bad ass. Quoted: Quoted: Loved me some Rat Patrol. I had the toys too. Loved Combat too, we spent a lot of time outside playing Combat Rat Patrol was good, but Combat ruled. Sgt. Saunders was bad ass. |

Quoted: Glamis Dunes? Or Pismo? Quoted: Quoted: Interesting, guess where Rat Patrol was filmed without googling it. ETA: Actually it was filmed there for part of the first season according to wiki, never would have guessed though it was there. Glamis Dunes? Or Pismo? Never knew there was a desert in Spain. |

Media is always most pertinent to the time it was made, and it wanes from there. It doesn't matter if that media was about historical or futuristic times and concepts - they audience for which it was made is a point in time. It's crazy how some things that seemed so great just don't now, but also how a few things stand the test of time (at least for up to my generation). |

This is bad if I'm not even one minute into it and something that glaring pops out. |
