Diffuse is not the same as Defuse

If I diffuse a land mine I spread it out over a larger area.

Diffuse means to spread out.

Defuse means to remove the fuse or render unarmed.

At least he isn't kicking it the the like the Iraqi EOD tech working with us in late 2003. Dude lasted two weeks before someone put a pressure release switch underneath a 152mm artillery shell.

Everyone talks about the guy who is doing the disarming being so badass brave/crazy.  How about the cameraman or all the people standing around watching this guy like there's no danger to them.  I'd be like "Oh, you touchin' that thing?  Later."
