Yeah, you read the title right, I started another netflix thread.

I gave up netflix this past March due to lack of funds.

Have they added anything new worth watching that would justify paying for it again or is it the same old thing?

I usually just watch movies with it, watched Breaking Bad too many times already.

and, yes I have looked through the netflix list thread.

Some stuff.

It's just if you can stand to watch the many B - Z movies mixed in with a few good movies.

I've never had an issue with the speed.

Just get a decent streaming device.

Roku 3 +  Netflix here, it's awesome.

Other TV has a cheap Roku HD, it's meh.

Your internet service provider may be the one selectively throttling the download times. Not a Netflix issue.

We cannot really answer the part in red without knowing what you like to watch (movies is too generic). Everyone has different tastes in what they like or want to watch.

All you need to know about new movies and content on Netflix streaming can be found in the mega Netflix streaming thread that you said you've viewed. That thread is updated sometimes daily by many here. Found lots of good content to watch over the years via that thread.

Or just look at sites like Instantwatcher which lists content that is added or re-added to Netflix streaming.

Alton Brown is on Netflix now.  I mean if you like great chefs...or food and what not.  I love Netflix and I have both streaming and DVD and to me, compared to cable, it is a great value. Amazon Prime rounds it out nicely too.
