Thanks in advance

Who's Pete? [>:/]

I've dealt with PayPal on non-delivery of goods.  They promised me a refund in monies, but the seller closed his banking account.  I was SOL.

If you are talking about Pete-in-NH, give him a call. He is a good guy, and this is probably just some mix up.

Yes, It is Pete in NH. I have not paypaled him yet, I had just heard horror stories about paypal, and I wanted to get some feed back from some of you guys. I think I will just send him a money order.

I have had very good experance (buying and selling)with paypal. However the bigest transaction I have done was $50. I have heard lots of bad thing about them. I would tend to stay away from them on large money dealings (over $200).
Can you use you creadit card and charge it on the sellers account? You would then get the creadit card protection.

I have been using PayPal for over two years and have not had a problem ever. As a matter of fact I just received a check in the mail today for an EBay auction that ended less than two weeks ago. I have made transactions as large as 800.00 with no hassle at all. They have been extremely reliable in my opinion.

I sent Pete about $600 once via Paypal. He then sent me a new RRA Upper. Simple as that.

I've used PayPal over 100 times, with some transactions as much as $750 or so. I've never had a problem, and I trust it.
You might want to check out www.paypalsucks.com anyway, just so you can see what some other peoples "concerns" have been..

I have done transactions in excess of $1k on paypal, both sending and receiving, never a problem.

Pete in NH has a stellar record with AR15.com members.

Most of the problems I've heard of are actually with the people that the money was sent to, not PayPal. Just be picky about who you hand the cash to.

Todd, it's just my opinion but I'd consider rewriting your initial post.  At first glance it gave me the impression that Pete was ripping you off somehow.  From what I've heard, he is honest and well respected.

Thanks! You are correct, after I read it again, I noticed it does sound like a knock on Pete. I am not knocking Pete. It was directed at paypal's service. Sorry Pete![:(]
