Since I got so much love for the spin feeder thread last week - figured I would ask this.  I have never used them.

Used to hunt near Llano - I think the land owner might have had a tailgate feeder (his cows sure loved following his truck around).  We would often hand throw some corn there - but probably never more than 2lbs.  Trying to figure out if "more is better".  Right now I can only make it out regularly on weekends.  So not sure if it is practical to use a tailgate thrower that seldom.

A few years back on another lease (which we had up at least a 1/2 dozen spin feeders), a 350lb feeder (full) collapsed the night before the season started.  That hunter was gripping the next night - no chance to see any deer because the hogs never left that pile of corn.  If I knew hogs were arround, I would be tempted to try to recreate that...  but need to get the hogs around first.
