In 1997 Netscape open sourced it's browser...

2002 comes along and Mozilla exists. Mozilla has many features that Internet Explore does not have...

Built in Popup blocking- Block non user requested popups...
Tabed Browsing- Insted of having 15 IE windows... open you can have one mozilla with 15 tabs. Makes life much better on 56K...
Better security implementation thatn IE
Lots of extra packages that can be downloaded for whatever purpose...
Comes with Mozilla Mail- Like Outlook except viruses do not get automaticly run...
It's Free- Free as in beer...
It's Free- Free as in FREEDOM...

IE.

Don't get me wrong, microshaft sucks.

But i know where the vulnerabilites exist, and i use it with caution. I just am too lazy to download sometihng better. IT sucks, but it does what i need it to.

Uh, how about Opera?

I've used it off and on for over a year.  Version 6.05 is the best yet.

7.0 just came out but I haven't tried it yet.

Has all the stuff Mozilla has.  It's WAY faster than IE.

I am running Mozilla right now.  I set it up so I won't even have to use Outlook to get my mails.  It's a bit faster than IE, doesn't open pop-ups.  Downside being not able to open Window Media player for net radio.  But it works for me.

Just upgraded from Opera 6.05 to 7.0.

Only use Internet Exploder on sites that won't stick to standards and refuse to display/operate in anything other than IE (and for Windows updates).

Been using Opera for over a year.  Great software.

actually, I run phoenix which is based on mozilla.  it's simply mozilla without all the extra features.  works much better on my slow as bones computer.

on my main workstation, I use a self-compiled copy of mozilla.  that computer, unfortunately, is FUBAR until I can replace the mobo, cpus, and ram

Shit.
I just progressed out of the "stick the butterknife in the outlet and see what happens" phase last week and now you fuckers want me to do all kinds of fancy shit with my computer? [BD]

I'm using Mozilla now on a Red Hat Linux 8.0 box.

On my PowerMac G4 I use Netscape 7.

When I got RHL 8 it was the first time I used Mozilla. I hadn't realized that Netscape open sourced its browser. Interesting.
