I just bought a standard DW6900 and been using the features a lot.

The specs say it will have a 2 year battery life, but wondering how long have yours lasted?

Thanks

I have had a Solar G-Shock for 8 years now, still on the OEM battery.

Before the Solar, my battery G-shock would last 2 years between batteries.

I have the same model (been getting the same kind the last 10 years) and I usually get between 1-2 years out of mine. The thing always breaks on mine is the band, but you can get replacements right on Amazon now.

If you are admittedly using it heavily you will get around a year out of the battery.

Well 1 year should be enough for me to decide if I want to invest in a solar model.

thanks

I bought a solar in the spring of 04 before my first deployment to Iraq.
I wore it for 2 tours, and pretty much daily since then. Still no problems.

I have had my solar Mudman for a couple of years so I hope the battery can keep taking charges for a long, long time...

Casio tough solar G-Shocks are pretty cool.   One full charge and it's good to go for at least 9 months... and thats with no more light.

Funny you asked this........I bought mine before heading to Iraq in 2008 or 2009; just changed the batteries for the first time very recently.

I must say, I was impressed.

They still have a battery, something has to be charged, and that battery eventually wears out too.

The last standard G-shock I had the battery lasted 8 years.

I also have the blue navy solar gshock  but I keep that in reserve in case of shtf as a prep basically.

I have a G-2300 (solar) that I bought in 2007 and is still going strong.  Every now and then I think I'd like a new watch, but then remember that mine still works.
