I though that FBHO said that ISIS would stay in the Mid-East

Australian counterterrorism forces detained 15 people Thursday in a series of suburban raids after receiving intelligence that the Islamic State militant group was planning public beheadings in two Australian cities to demonstrate its reach.

This bunch is soon going to open up a can of worms they didn't bargain for. When this shit starts up in this country, Muslims are going to become an endangered species over here. I actually pity those few who wish to cause those of different faiths no problems. They will suffer for the actions of the Jihadi types too unfortunately.

I don't. When these morons start randomly attacking and killing Americans all around the country, either as foreign ISIS fighters, local Jihadi types, or a combination of the two, Americans are going to react predictably and very angrily. The next wave of terrorist attacks probably isn't going to look like 9/11. It will look more like the Boston Marathon bombings, the the 2002 Beltway Sniper attacks, the Nidal Hassan shooting rampage and the more recent Ali Muhammad Brown killing of the New jersey teen. And it may include incidents such as these fucktards were attempting in Australia. When you get a bunch of incidents like this taking place all across the country and at random, the reaction will be different than anything we've seen before. EVERYONE is going to feel threatened to a degree because the threat will no longer just be limited to government and financial centers in New York and Washington DC like in the past. And that is when things will get ugly, with tons of reprisal killings against Muslims or anyone who even looks Muslim, mosques being burned, etc. So far this "holy war" has been fought by their side. But if they start shit like that in this country, it will become reciprocal. I'm not saying I support that way of thinking or believe it to be an appropriate action, but that is exactly what I think we'll see happen.

How many "random" attacks will it take before the blow back begins is the question.  More importantly, how will local law enforcement categorize these attacks when the government refuses to admit that a certifiable and credible threat exists.  Hell they don't even acknowledge that terrorists are training on US soil.

I don't know, I think Id like to see a bunch of average american guys doing their errands and shopping with their families while carrying an AR15 and loadout for protection.

I've been saying it for a while now, they will cut someone's head off in NYC or some familiar US location and release the video. They will also soon cut off a woman's head. Both of these events will get significantly more attention.

Really? I mean I know what your point is I think, but I personally never want our country to be in such a condition that people deem it necessary to have a "loadout" on them at all times.

I'm thinking of Rhodesia. People carrying FAL's because they have to, not to protest open carry laws.

No, I don't mean to protest. If those fuckers want to start some shit let em bring it.

Any reprisals against the muslims will be viewed as a "right wing" hate crime by the govt and used as a way to clamp down on your gun rights.

They already do (just smaller guns than FALs)

I knew what you meant. I just like living in a country where I don't have to carry a rifle with me at all times. Unfortunately, those times may be upon us soon.

There is a significant difference in carrying a handgun, concealed or open, and carrying a rifle with a loadout.

Yeah, so do I. I don't think I will ever see it come to that in my lifetime, not so sure about my daughter's lifetime though.

Completely agree. But the point is valid that significantly more people are carrying than ever before.  It's not a bad thing that people can and do carry (a good thing actually), but I would suggest people are somewhat less comfortable being unarmed, in general, than they were 10 years ago.

I tend to see it as a negative thing, but in reality it's both. There is a reason people are feeling the need to carry, and it isn't because they have the right.

I agree, it's good people want to carry and the gun rights movement is as strong as it has ever been.
