| You know one would think after he did a movie about WWII and the holocaust (Schindler's List) that he would have a better understanding of why firearms are so important for people to protect themselves. I am disappointed in his words and beliefs. To me it truly seems like he hasn't learned a thing. |

your kid is more likely to get killed in youth sports than in a shooting. Look up the numbers for soccer and football. 40 sports related deaths in 2011 (last year I could find stats for). Youth football averages 12 deaths a year. some stats: High school athletes account for an estimated 2 million injuries and 500,000 doctor visits and 30,000 hospitalizations each year. More than 3.5 million kids under age 14 receive medical treatment for sports injuries each year. Children ages 5 to 14 account for nearly 40 percent of all sports-related injuries treated in hospitals. On average the rate and severity of injury increases with a child's age. |
