I have a turtle, that I have had for 16 years now. We got him out of a lake in Wisconsin(a friend at the time's parents had a lake house) and took him home, bought an aquarium, bought some turtle pellets, read up on the care of turtles, and he's now survived three moves, outlived every other pet we've had since then, but we have no clue how old he is. I called the local reptile supply house last year after I bought a new aquarium lid for him there, and asked if they knew of any turtle vets or any way of finding out his age, and they said no. So I turn to the all mighty GD. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/deej11686/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_3031_zpsfc047471.jpg If you can take a real clear and up close pic of the underside of the turtle I might be able to sex and age the turtle, but, it will need to be clear. |

Admittedly it hasn't been cleaned in a week or so but he does live in clean water, and I change the filter often. I'll give the tank a good wipe down on my lunch break. |

Yep, this. Doing this on wild turtles is a very small part of my job. |

What other non-herpetology board would have two turtle whispers jump in and offer to help the OP so quickly. |
