With the numbers of us I'm sure there are a few. I am looking at joining a local lodge. My wife thinks its a evil cult, I think its more of a good ol boys club. Discuss....

Since you posted in GD instead of the Masonic sub-forum, I'm assuming you're looking for shenanigans.

Here you go.

The first question to ask is, have they beheaded anyone ?

I like free masons. Now if I could only find a free excavator and free carpenters, I might be able to get that garage built.

All lodges have their own character. Visit a few.

Some have a meal before their meetings.  Sit and eat some free food.

If you like the guys ask to join.

Cub Scouts had a movie night a few weeks back. The guy that co-leads a Den with me is a Mason.

The movie was National Treasure, so he wore all his Mason gear and was getting a kick out of the boys' questions.  He joshed them around about everything in the movie is true, but he cant talk about it.

It was fun.  I might join someday when I get done spending all my time in Scouts.

ETA: he regularly does the clown thing too.  We had to co-lead the Den because he was quickly devolving the activities to nothing but balloon animals and such.  Had to get back on track after he told me to give this to my wife.   Previous thread.

We have a lot of fun.

Grandfather was a Master of his Lodge.
Nice to see men still getting out and meeting as life seems so busy that so few have or make the time.

As compared to cheap Masons and full priced Masons ?  Free is definitely better

Based on your epic and various threads I would say you would be a perfect fit for the Masons.

It's actually neither, OP, but it is very worthwhile to start down the path to the East.

I wish they were free. I'm paying my Mason $50k for the latest foundation he's doing for me.

I really don't. Thats just what a guy at work told me. He said they had to address one guy as "O Worshipful Master".
Said it was weird cuase the guys name was Kenny or something and they went to church together.

I'd like to know also.
My Grandfather was a Mason and my Great uncle was a Shriner.

I have both of their Masonic rings.
I also have an old Masonic ring that is so worn you can barley read it.

Not a mason. Worked with some guys overseas who were.  Seemed like there were lots of current military and former military guys who are now contractors that were members. Good dudes.
