| I was wondering what our country will look like by then. I have a few thoughts. Yours? |

There will be an anti-Obama backlash at the polls in 2016. Collectivist, re-distributionist policies will fall out of favor, (much like what happened in the late 1990s, that Bill Clinton tried to claim credit for).
The air will smell sweeter, beer will taste better, (don't worry, be hoppy!). Decent people will still have to get up and go to work, though. (Maybe not me, I will be 64 then. Then again, I don't like the concept of retirement). Young women will be incredibly attractive. Their mothers will be too. Even some of their grand mothers will be hot and sexy! |

we will be at war, either here or in the middle east........or both.
Europe, especially france, will be in a worse pickle because of unchecked islamic immigration. Global economy will be in worse shape than now Russia will be looking at taking back some of eastern europe if they haven't already. Mexico may well be in a civil war with the cartels. The cartels will win. Wages here will continue to stagnate while prices continue to rise, the middle class will be on the verge of extinction. A new push for gun control will make the 94 AWB look like the good old days. |

Europe is your best case scenario. For a more realistic vision of the future look at Mexico and South America. Quoted:

Department of Agriculture will approve the use of watering crops with sports drinks. Monsanto pave the way. We'll all be bitching (quietly) about our chocolate rations. Fuck it. I'm going to Starbucks. I don't think we are going to have time for handjobs. |

California, Illinois will start a trend of states going bankrupt from failure to cover pensions of public service unions. Cali will go first because of all their state welfare programs, but then others will follow.
The Federal government will be unable to bail them out. After adding over a trillion a year in debt, lenders will finally say enough, realizing they are never going to see their money again, and the Fed will have no choice but to print money like it's going out of style, leading to inflation, the likes of which haven't been seen since Carter. A statist RINO will win in 2016 and be too chicken shit to throttle back spending or take on entitlement spending for real fear it will turn them into a one termer. Crime will soar because there will be no money to upgrade entitlement spending to match inflation. Social security checks won't even cover a grocery bill anymore. The military will be reduced to a force that can't really project anymore and barely protect our own soil. The border area will turn into a wild west. |

Look at an American Indian reservation. The gubbment controls everything. Free food and healthcare. Free TV, phones, drugs, and gambling to keep the masses entertained. And a few wealthy chiefs running the place. +1 If that is the way you want to live, (and to be fair, a lot of people tell me that is what they want), then go ahead. I used to wonder why Christians used to complain when I said "Karl Marx did not die on the cross for my sins". Now, not so much. Oh well! I have my ideas, and in spite of criticism, I will continue to live my life that way. |
