MusicMatch.com

WinAmp has a lot more junk to go with it but IMO MusicMatch Jukebox is the best player around.

Get the latest version.  It will have plenty of skins and features.  Let me know if you need help configuring it.

I agree.  I tried Winamp for a while but the damn thing would lock up all the time and was a general pain in the ass.

Music match has never given me any trouble and works all the time.

BTW, I think he meant "Fractals"

1) Stay away from any version of WMP higher than 6.4 (the one that came with Win2k). It's slower, more prone to skipping, and a general PITA (based on my experience with it on my laptop. Winamp and Windows Media Player 6.4 worked, WMP 7 was unintelligable (and I had to re-install Windows to get MP3 playback back)). Plus, it's got Microsoft 'DRM security' (Read file-playback-denial) all the way through. MS media players AFTER the (bland, but functional) one you have are JUNK.

2) Use WinAmp. It's small (> 1MB), fast, and stable, with no special 'security' code of any kind. And it's not made by Microsoft.
