Why do the dupe police feel the need to call it out? If they just saw the thread and ignored it, it would die much quicker.
Instead they post it up, bumping it to the top of the forum and clog the efficiency. Yes it's super witty to say "wow this is the 3rd time he'a been shot today" it's very original and funny. This thread will either go two ways. Everyone is going to post "dupe" or ignore this as it's probably been questioned already.

Not everyone is plugged into AR-15.com 24/7 (vacations, where one's own personal Wi-Fi is non-existent, or emergencies where medical facilities block/ban cell devices...there are a lot of reasons someone may be a week or two behind and may have missed the original thread or a spectacular troll meltdown), so even if someone calls dupe but provides a link to the original thread, it helps. For crying out loud, if it weren't for TV reruns (in the days before Youtube), half of Arfcom would not be as culturally "aware" as it is to start with... 
(I started to say "hip" and realized that word in no way shape or form applied..  )
