I have an alternative septic system, something I know little about. Well, the county requires that every year I pay someone $250.00 to check it and file a report. Yesterday, the guys come out and can't get the pump to kick on. Come to find out the motor is burned up, but the alarm had ben silenced and I have no idea how that happened. Not to worry, I'll just call my home warranty company and they'll cover it. NOPE!!!!! After the first year they do not cover anything septic. Luckily, the guys that came out were extremely knowledgeable and were willing to explain the process in order for me to replace the unit myself. I'm going through units now as they no longer manufacture the unit I had. It lasted 7 years so, I can't complain. So who are the experts on "alternative" septic systems and what advice to you have? |
