i just picked up a 20 inch barrel for a build.after i installed it i noticed that the fsb was canted.so i removed the fsb to align it and found that the gas port is misaligned also.the fsb was positioned over top of the hole,however it was way out of whack!what should i do???chop saw vid!

how much torque was used to attach the barrel nut?

Look at the barrel extension and see if it is centered in the receiver.

It's possible the whole barrel is twisted.  This happens when the barrel nut is overtorqued and/or with no grease.

Remedy is to remove the barrel and reinstall it, this time with grease and not overtorquing.

i never went over 80 pounds.i kept having to dick with it to get the tube to align.i settled on 25 pounds.

i greased it up ,so im not sure about that.any idea on what tool to use to try to loosen the barrel from the extension?
