I know GD hates everything, but why exactly the hate for Libertarians?

Because Libertarians believe that people and institutions with a track record of doing the bad things that led us to the level of economic and social regulation in place today will start doing good things if the government just got out of their way. Basically, Libertarians long for the good ole days of the Guilded Age. This kind of stupidity must be combated in order to prevent it from becoming mainstream. |

Libertarians think that child labor laws are an encroachment on an essential liberty. They don't understand that the reason we have child labor laws is because people got fed up with their kids being hired at early ages to do dangerous, menial tasks and being paid next to nothing and being locked into a future of poverty due to a lack of basic education and demanded that the Government pass laws limiting child labor. To Libertarians this a disgusting form of Government tyranny. And for this reason, among others, Libertarianism must be opposed. |
