If my understanding is correct the current law requires illegals caught to be given an immigration hearing. The fact that the hearings are so backed up requires the illegals to be released pending their hearing date which less than 5% show up for.
Why not perform speed hearings right when the illegal is apprehended? A ruling can be made and the illegal can be deported. I understand that they are entitled to an appeal of the ruling but why not let them appeal after they are deported? Flying them home is cheaper than letting them stay and not show up for their hearing |

change the process so they are allowed back in if the hearing decides they should be, deport till then. Hold hearings At border crossings.
Pass a law that anyone found in US will never be allowed in legally later, based on DNA tests. Give 30 days to take effect with free busses running south. |
