[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Facebook Question

Is there a type of Facebook account that doesn't accept friend requests? Only allows peoe to follow it?
It looks like a regular account but the send friend request button is inactive. And the account shows no friends just other followers.

yeah but its reserved for groups/ business etc

for an individual there is but for famous people politicians etc

To remove the "add to friends" button....

Go to settings,
Then Privacy,
Then on the line "who can contact me, who can send you friend request"

Set that to "friends of friends".

Then "View As" and it should be gone.

they are "pages", usually for businesses, communities, groups, public figures ect.

you need a regular facebook account first, then you create a "page".
