Don't you just HATE it when you crack your funny bone (elbow) on the beavertail of your CCW 1911??? Holy crap, that hurts! Never happens when you're all alone in a room, either. No, it's gotta happen in the office, or some other quiet setting where folks aren't used to hearing the sharp "CLONK" sound of metal on bone.
It's happened to me before, but this time was likely the most painful, and of course, the loudest. Fairly awkward, too. I've got a couple tech's doing some work at the hangar today (normally, I'm the only one around) and I was greeting them and pulling all the coffee mess stuff out of the cabinets when I turned a little funny and SMACK, hit my gun with the elbow. I know everyone heard it, and one guy was obviously confused about what made that sound. One of those deals where you hear a sound, but nothing in your field of vision seems to fit that sound, you know? I'm trying to just keep on like nothing happened, but I'm having a hard time holding on to the stuff in my right hand because the tingling and pain are shooting all the way to the tip of my pinky! So, there you go, CSB and all that. |
