Short version
Can I use a wireless router to sync tablets/nooks etc. WITHOUT having it hooked to the internet?

More details
We are using Practiscore to score matches at our range, there is NO internet access there ( no need other than syncing the Nooks)
We have Nooks at each stage for scoring, and would like to be able to sync them to the master, (ipad) without taking them all to the nearest wifi access point, about 600 yards away.

yes you can sync them together with a wireless router that has no uplink

In theory you should, but it's possible the syncing process may require a remote resource like NTP or something. Just try it out and see what happens.

it works. we use a dlink on a ac/dc converter in the truck. we sync nooks, droids and iphones at the range with no internet access.
then after the match I just take one synced device with me and then publish the results from the bar while we have lunch.
