I was turned on to Zaino after reading a thread a while back and I have been impressed......but now my clean car has exposed how dingy the plastic on my headlights are.  Anybody found a product that gets them looking clear/new?

Make/ Model? You try looking for cheap replacements on sites like eBay?

Here Just to much work and after a while you'll have to do them again. I just spent the money to save the time and expense of doing them over and over. I was much happier in the end. IMHO

Meguires fine cut #2 (NAPA) on a $3 harbor freight sheepskin buffing pad. Chuck it in your drill and go for it. 2 passes in about 5 minutes and they look like new. Finish up with a coat of good paste wax.

On badly etched lights I wet sand starting with 400, 600, 800 then I use rough buffing compound then fine. They look like new when done, takes about 45 minutes.

ETA: From what I've read many here would have bought new lights rather than restore some of the ones I've brought back. It's not that hard to fix them just takes a little elbow grease.

I use Mothers plastic polish. Then car wax/polish once a week after washing the vehicle. Up keep is the key.

The biggest reason why alot of these "kits" help at first but after a few months it will start looking like crap again is cause a headlight "sealer" isn't included/purchased.   The sealer will make your efforts last much much longer.

I had mine down for $30 @ SAMs club.  Included the sealer which is important.   Guaranteed 5 years too.  They look about 90% of new.   I'm happy.   I tried a bunch of different stuff that did not work or last long.

$20 kits like 3M or Maquires that use the sanding disks and then polishing compound both work great in my experience.
