What attachment type are you guys using with the blade-tech comp belt? There's really nothing on their site that explains it that I can see. Do I want the loops or the Tek-Lok or what?

It's really personal preference, you can use either. The Tek-Lok takes up less real estate on your belt, and they can be removed quickly if you need to adjust your belt setup. The loops are a bit more secure, but wider, which means they take up more room on the belt. They're also more work to put on/off.

I have the ASR loop for my handgun holster. All the mag and shotshell carriers on my belt are using the Tek-Lok. I can add/remove them as needed for the stage. Sometimes, I might need an extra pistol mag, other times I might pull that off for an extra shotshell carrier, etc.

I got ASR loops for holster, wider and hopefully more stable.
I go tek lok for mag pouchs, requires less space and removable.

For me, tek loks had a bad habit of popping open at the wrong time.  Won't use them for anything.

I don't see how they could pop open if they are properly closed. Did you use little locking tab on the bottom? You weren't trying to make them fit over both parts of the belt, were you?
