Kenmore SXS. Freezer at 10 degrees. I do have ice but it is slow to make.
Reefer at 55 degrees.
I vacuumed the coils this morning, no change in temp. Now what??
I can hear the compressor/fan cycling.
Thanks in advance.

ok I'll try to find the defrost heater element. Sounds like you mean its "on" all of the time and it should be cycling?

No I mean the defrost heater is not working. The coils have an ice build up. The freezer gets almost cold enough because that is where the coil is, but the fan can't draw air through it to chill the fridge side.

I think I found the issue.....wifey had stacked up a bunch of food blocking the vent from the freezer side to the reefer side. I'm monitoring temps now with fingers crossed.
