I haven't been following. Does the USA team have a chance? http://global3.memecdn.com/Rofl_o_115643.gif Coach has been playing Jedi mind tricks with his team, methinks though. They have been playing pretty good of late. |

I haven't been following. Does the USA team have a chance? If soccer was the only major pro sport in the USA, I dare say we would dominate the world. But, unlike the rest of the world, we have four major pro sports & at the end of the day, soccer just doesn't do it here. I do find it funny, that with that being said & the fact that the majority of Americans could care less, we still field a competitive team that has been in 10 (Only 12 countries have been there more) World Cups. Much more than many countries who live & breath soccer. |

I think we have a chance. Beat Ghana, tie/beat Portugal and tie/lose to Germany. Assuming Germany wins all three, we go through.
They are my team, I will cheer for no other. I will however watch every minute I can of every match. As far as our team being made up of players from Germany, it doesn't bother me that much, as I think most of them were born there because a parent was in the military stationed there (I could be wrong on that). We would easily dominate the rest of the world if our best athletes played, just think about LeBron James, Bryce Harper, Andrew McCutchen, Calvin Johnson, if they had grown up playing soccer we would have a dominate team. |
