Do I have to use something like this? Or will a good syn motor oil work? (guessing not) |

Engine oil will function in a pinch, but it is not the same and will sludge and varnish in a compressor. If you think that's expensive, you should see the $175 a gallon synthetic rotary screw oil I use in PTO drive compressors. 
Thats what I have been reading. Some say its ok and other say its not. Guess the detergent is not good for them. WOW!
