How do they do it nowadays, with a survey?
If I recall, they used to have some kind of box to track what you were watching. When I was a kid one of the neighbors was a Nielsen family. Off to the Google! ETA: Looks like they can do both, but self-surveys are common. In the age of the DVR I was wondering what they would do, it wasn't like back in the day when you warmed up the TV for Dukes of Hazzard at a specific time. |

Got something similar a few years ago from a radio station. $5 in first envelope. Couple more times I got mailings with $1 in them. It asked if I wanted to track my radio listening for 1 week. So I did. Wonder if they liked the fact that I listened to talk radio and never to their shitty pop music station. Never heard from them again, never listened to their station either.. |
