Damn JBT was polite, professional, and I didn't even get a warning. Just a random paperwork check. (They can do that to trucks) But, while in front of my truck looking at my license plate, he looked up and directly into my dashcam. (GoPro Hero 3+ black edition in a frame, set to a 1 hour loop) it has a forward facing red light that flashes when recording, so he knew for a fact that he was being recorded.
He didn't ask me to turn it off, no wire tapping charges, no warning, no ticket. No dogs shot, no cats killed. |

Yep, 5 minutes, 20, 60, 120 or max capacity of the card. It records in chapters and overwrites the oldest one. Quoted:

Try spitting on him just off camera next time.

That is great he was professional. I still think that any LEO who is willing to participate in a stop without PC is part of the problem, regardless if the stop is deemed "technically legal" by our kangaroo courts. What problem? The death of civil liberties. More specifically the death of the fourth amendment. |

CMVs have a different set of rules. He did tell me that I was his first stop of the day who had a correct and legal logbook. |

Did he show you his p90? Was he in an unmarked charger? Did he tell his dog to hit on your vehicle? Subdued marking black tahoe. Dallas County SO. Nice guy. Wait a second! I thought Texans were ass holes? Maybe it is a trait that comes out when they cross the border into Colorado. |

Do you really support administrative searches as reasonable under the fourth amendment? |

It's great. I think only the 3 series has the loop feature. You can get factory refurbs from gopro.com for $265 Quoted:

How do you like the GoPro as a dashcam? I'm thinking I want to get a cam for my truck as well but I'm just not sure which model to pick up. It's great. I think only the 3 series has the loop feature. You can get factory refurbs from gopro.com for $265 Damn, thats not bad at all. Especially for something that could save my ass in the case of a major accident. |

Complete bullshit if you ask me. |

It would be since PC is not required.

RS...whatever.
The point is under an administrative stop there is no proof a crime took place before an official search and seizure takes place. That should be wrong. People who participate in searches of that nature don't respect the fourth amendment. They are no better than gun grabbers. |

You were "too legal".
