I wasn't sure about posting this here but I read one on something about "My husband being drunk" I couldn't understand it so I thought what the heck.
I am new to this forum and reality new to NFA hobby I made my first purchase last JULY 4th. Shortly after this I find out even though I have had a CHCL for 10yrs Mistakes had been made and my order to seal didn't restore my right. So I had to go back to court and get a get an Order to Dismiss and Seal . That was last August and I have had an issue with getting the FBI convinced that restored firearm rights after many appeal letters with court doc. etc. I heard from the FBI last week (yea they actually called me), I think because I had Senator Boozman involved. I am applying for a VAF this give you a pin# that keeps your file open and reduces issues in the future. Friday I received my Appeal Certificate. You take this back to the FFL where the denial occurred and you can purchased 1 or 100 gun but it's only good for that transaction. It's all official has a seal & INSTRUCTIONS TO THE FFL. Well, the associate I have been dealing with all of this time was on duty so I give her my Certificate and she says I need to go check with management. She comes back a says they said run it like a regular. Not the correct procedure but I keep my mouth shut since she already think I'm a know it all. ( I can't help I actually read and study the NICS website) It comes back delayed, no surprise to me but she says you will have to wait. I advised her to READ the instructions you are supposed to call say it's an Appeal recheck ask for customers service give NTN# , etc. She screws that all up, by now two managers are there. I call NICS customers service tell them whats going on, they say let them talk to the associate & while she on the phone with them the manager calls NICS talks to the original person the associate gave the bad info & they tell him to confiscate my Certificate. Now I am really pissed I call NICS back get a great guy John he finds the right NTN# & says he's got it fix for them to call him directly @##### I give the me number they go back to the office after 30-45min come back NO JOY. I call John back he's like I told them to proceed gave them my Brady#. I ask what's the deal? They told me the NICS person told them to keep the Certificate and no transaction. I am still on the phone with John(NICS Customer Service agent) said go ahead, they say no we talked to NICS & they said no plus retain the Certificate. I try to tell them that John is NICS they said we don't know that. The stupidity just keeps coming. I said call up the regular NICS line and ask for JOHN (Brady***) Buy this time they have made the decision that & said we aren't selling you a gun. I guess they thought I might go postal. Anyone that has spent 2 & 1/2 listening to their stupid statement is going to be PISSY. Because the Managers were too lazy to read the procedure on the Certificate and then may be get up off their asses and come down and walk the associate through it since it was a new thing I get labeled the irate asshole, but cause I know the law, my rights and wanted after 8 months to complete this transaction. I was going to buy a Cricket 22 for my son, and I might have bought a AR15 if they had of had something I wanted. I may have to wait till Monday with the NICS Appeal people get back to work and then have a sit down with WM's General manager but I will not see my rights denied any further. Thank you for letting me vent. Looks like I will be burning up some rounds tomorrow. I don't have my RR16 or M10 but I got my Fostech bump-fire running and the Shrike is going with expanded links. I tried to clean it up some but here is the bottom line. I took an Appeal Certificate to Wal-Mart (because I had been using them to test to see if the FBI was going to figure out my record since I was getting a delay) Once an appeal is granted you have to return to the original FFL. to conflate the deal. Plus it was more of a principle thing . I was determined to get that Cricket if it hare lipped everyone on Bear Creak. What should have been a simple transaction turned into a 2+ Hr nightmare? Then I come on here to vent and get a ration of shit |

You really expected Walmart staff to understand that sort of stuff? all they know is that they have internal procedures for gun sales designed to protect the corporation and if they mess up they lose their job.
Get some recommendations for a good local gun store and give them your business. |

| OK I am fine with Walmart. But are you not literate or even aware enough that the hatcheck girl at Walmart is not going ot understand doodlysquat about anything that falls outside of the cue card she has on how to run a firearm procedure. As soon as you brought your extra-chromosomal matters into it you lost, time to go home and understand why its hard for you to buy firearms. Think of it as a cap they put on prescription lids to keep toddlers out. |

Sounds like you were less than intelligent 10 years ago and did a bad thing and Walmart manager is just covering their ass. Did the appeal letter have Walmart listed as FFL (I thought they had to have that) and that with the certificate there was no nics check.

Better than some "real gun shops" I've bought from. A lot of guys here have bought Colt 9620s from Walmart. They tend to be better than a lot of local shops on the price.
