with lights that intersection would be backed up for a mile in every direction.
there are a bunch of european towns which are removing all traffic signs and even lane markings and the results are consistently safer roads more aware drivers and less congestion

If it were here in the US there would be a clusterfuck of traffic lights that you get to wait at for 5 minutes then it is green for your lane for 10 seconds.

First time I watched it... I focused on the vehicles (looks like a lot of public transportation and/or taxi services).

Second time I watched it... I focused on the pedestrians... fuck that!

I didn't see very much bicycle or motorcycle traffic.

Truth! I hated the OBT when I was in Orlando. Just as bad as Kirkman Rd. in Orlando and the "Kirkman Crunch", which I was a victim.

Oh, yeah? For 2 years, I drove in Phnom Penh, and didn't have a single accident, although I witnessed several fatalities
