The thing I wondered about is if you're doing that, and your meat shield gets shot and falls down, not only do you lose the prisoner, but you lose your weapon too unless you can wrestle it away from his body while more bullets are coming your direction.

Napoleon didn't have the economy or logistical infrastructure and Hitler didn't have the economy, logistical infrastructure, and the US held the Soviets manufacturing hand through the entire war. Those are not overcoming odds. Those are stupid decisions made by invading countries and Russia lucking out and having good allies. |
