Been kind of digging this track from them(watched it on a YouTube vid last night)

Had an opportunity to see them at a fest in Naperville, IL a few years ago, decided not to do it, regretting it.

Oh well.  Someday.

Good band for a 90s band

one of the first albums I heard after leaving my very small home town(only had top40, country, and gospel radio stations)...lots of good times come back when I listen to Collective Soul, STP, Pearl Jam, etc..

Their original lead guitarist could shred. He hasn't been with them for a couple albums now though.

Dosage was their best album IMO.

I always thought they had a cool sound.
Some songs remind me of Husker Du.

I always liked them.
I never understood why they didn't get more recognition.

I feel the same way about Blue October.

Big fan. That was back in the days of MTV still running music videos.

Shine has EVERY 90's video cliche in it.  You can watch it and see the entire grunge era summed up in one video.

That's my all time favorite song. Collective Soul was "go to" band during high school. Their music will always be timeless to me.

I wouldn't go that far, but they were definitely over-exposed in the mid-90s.

Saw them in concert a long time ago, like 1999 or so.

Way loud for the venue, all I remember are the screaming 2-4khz scratches ripping my ears off.   No other concert hurt that much, it was in an indoor opera hall, so I think they had the volume a bit higher than needed, or the hall was designed badly.

They got their start right down the road from where I grew up.  They were pretty popular locally and the stations couldn't play enough of them in the 90's.
