| Any ideas on where to find or what to make shims from that will fit a 700 AAC-SD? I have a YH quick disconnect brake/can mount, and the shims that come with the mount to not fit. There is a ridge that is a larger diameter after the threads but before the barrel cut that the brake ultimately butts up against. The shims obviously fit over the threads, but stop right after at the "step" before they get all the way to the back of the cut where they should sit. I have tried to make some, but it's a PITA. I am thinking maybe grab a thicker stainless washer and drilling it out to the correct diameter and trying to hit it with a sander to thin it out to the correct thickness. Better ideas? |
