The funny thing about Texas, or maybe not so funny, all of the population growth is five metropolitan areas.
Drive for 30 minutes outside of any of them and the towns are still pretty much like they were 50 years ago. Modernized a bit in some cases, but still small town Texas. |

I would say in lots of cases, they are smaller than they were 50 years ago, the bigger towns keep getting bigger and the smaller ones keep getting smaller. |
