This was my first CZ75, and the only one I still own. At some point a few years back I had it Dura Coated as the original parkerizing had worn away on the back strap and the front strap from being shot so much (it never had the painted finish) I am thinking on sending it in to be parkerized, I do not like this painted finish

I also replaced the spring housing with the one pictured for a lanyard, though I do have the original still to be put back in.

The magazine is not original, I do have the originals, but they were put away for safe keeping and then I got majorly concussed so now I am having trouble finding them. they will turn up, there just aren't that many places they could be.

This is the first time the old girl has been in her original packaging in almost 20 years

back into her locked case and locked safe she goes

Edit
Wow, while digging through my ammo cans I found one I forgot, my two factory mags were in it life is good

Also found a 10 round mag at the gunshow for $40, everyone else was looking for $75 out of theirs and they had the big plastic blocks on the bottom

Bad ass. CZ-75s are good-looking pistols.

Listen up and don't be schmoe.  Real CZ-75 must look like this. Violators of party orthodoxy require retraining of labor camp.

hnngh!

Do standard 75s come with an ambi safety, or can they be fitted with one after the fact? If not, do y'all know if you can replace the ambi slide stop on the 85 with a left-side-only one?

The pinnacle of 9mm service pistol development, well except for the improvements CZ made like the SP-01.

So the Retro I bought recently makes me a schmoe or not a schmoe?

Beautiful. My CZ-75 is just a Turkish copy that smells faintly of baklava. I need to get a Czech one eventually.

Anybody seen a CZ that's been Robar NP3 coated?  Did it effect tolerances much?  I don't know enough about their Polycoat to know how deep it goes.

Send her into Arma-Coat, Barret will fix her up to her original glory

Those Turk guns have surprised the hell out of me!  I've got the .45 clone (and yes, the barrel is just stamped "45" - no "Auto", "ACP" or anything else ) and it's a nice piece of work.  It was a gift, intended to be used as a teaching tool since I didn't have any examples of DA/SA pistols to show my students.  Turned out to be a very nice shooter and, so far, reliable.  DA is a bit heavy but that SA is essentially thought-controlled.

I've seen quite a few other pistols coated with NP3 and given the typical tolerances of a CZ I think it should be fine.
Personally i'd just do the frame in NP3 and the rest in some super-tough spray-and-bake offered by Robar.

You have a CZ, that's automatically, not a schmoe.

Let's be frank, you could have bought a Glock and what would that have made you?

See what I'm sayin'

I have a pre B in the same condition as yours.

I've always been curious about the quality of the Norinco compared to an old pre B.

Out of the box, the Norinco is a strange paradox.  It is made of very high quality forged steel, but it also features abysmal workmanship.  The bluing is terrible and the piece abounds in tool marks and sharp edges.

Now if you take that Norinco to a skilled smith, once he reworks the piece, you will a pistol that is actually better than either a current CZ or a Pre B.

My customized Norinco NZ-85B is my favorite modern pistol.  It has a wonderfully smooth double action pull and the piece is tremendously reliable.

I have not a nice thing I can say about Robar.  Not recommended.

You can find Cerakote and electroless nickel finishers elsewhere.

But Robar's NP3 with PTFE you can't...
