Listen up and don't be schmoe. Real CZ-75 must look like this. Violators of party orthodoxy require retraining of labor camp. http://i641.photobucket.com/albums/uu138/Fluffy9lives/IMG_4575_zpsddb9c3be.jpg That looks like it has been boiled. |

Beautiful. My CZ-75 is just a Turkish copy that smells faintly of baklava. I need to get a Czech one eventually. Those Turk guns have surprised the hell out of me! I've got the .45 clone (and yes, the barrel is just stamped "45" - no "Auto", "ACP" or anything else ) and it's a nice piece of work. It was a gift, intended to be used as a teaching tool since I didn't have any examples of DA/SA pistols to show my students. Turned out to be a very nice shooter and, so far, reliable. DA is a bit heavy but that SA is essentially thought-controlled.

Anybody seen a CZ that's been Robar NP3 coated? Did it effect tolerances much? I don't know enough about their Polycoat to know how deep it goes. I've seen quite a few other pistols coated with NP3 and given the typical tolerances of a CZ I think it should be fine. Personally i'd just do the frame in NP3 and the rest in some super-tough spray-and-bake offered by Robar. |

I have both original CZ-75 and also NZ-85B made by good comrades of Norinco http://i641.photobucket.com/albums/uu138/Fluffy9lives/e45b442d-9684-4e68-8006-250e6f1b4f75_zpse5e904b7.jpg I have a pre B in the same condition as yours. I've always been curious about the quality of the Norinco compared to an old pre B. |

I've always been curious about the quality of the Norinco compared to an old pre B. Out of the box, the Norinco is a strange paradox. It is made of very high quality forged steel, but it also features abysmal workmanship. The bluing is terrible and the piece abounds in tool marks and sharp edges. Now if you take that Norinco to a skilled smith, once he reworks the piece, you will a pistol that is actually better than either a current CZ or a Pre B. My customized Norinco NZ-85B is my favorite modern pistol. It has a wonderfully smooth double action pull and the piece is tremendously reliable. |
