So do any of you guys used or looked at this brand of optics? I found a video on youtube 2012 Shot show about this brand and then found the sight on Amazon.

If you've used one or have one I would really like to hear your opinion of them.

They're fine for a budget red dot. The ability to swich recticle is kinda fun. I like having more than one option. To me, the greatest feature was the auto brightness control. Mine held its zero on my Colt. Would I prefer the Lucid over my Aimpoint or Eotech? No. But for under $200, it's a good choice.

They've got a longer range scope I was looking at. But there was hardly any information or reviews about it.

This pretty well sums up my experience as well. My fav nonmagnified optic is the EoTech due to the HUD design, but I wouldn't think twice about running a Lucid HD7 on a duty rifle. Good kit, great price.

These sum it up.  Had one, liked it.  Sold it on a rifle.

I like EOTechs and such better, but fuck me if I want to spend that much on optics frequently.  Apparently a number of LEOs in the area feel the same way, the shop sold tons of them to cops when they were picking up Windhams recently.

IMO, hard deal to beat, and one of the best red dots out there at that price point.

ETA: mine was a gen 2.  New ones are gen 3, and have better reticle options.  Didn't know they had come out with a tan one (in the OP).

I got one when they first came out and they had the deal that came with the 2x screw in magnifier.  overall I really like it.  I do wish it was a little more compact and a little lighter.  as it is, it seems pretty durable and definitely holds zero well.

I have one it works fine.  The thing is heavy for what it is, but my biggest problem is they tried to make it look kinda like an ACOG for no reason.  I probably would get a PA micro red dot if I had a do-over.

I have one of the originals with the magnifier.  It works great for my (recreational) use.

I upgraded to an Aimpoint on my favorite rifle and moved the Lucid to another AR, and have no plans to replace it.

Yeah, it gives it a cheap, "wannabe" feel that misrepresents the product. I've never owned one, I admit, but the one's I've messed with gave me the impression it's well-made and built like a tank. It can stand on it's own without trying to look like cool guy gear.

They were very heavy in my hand.

I put one on a build for a friend.

It is a good solid scope.  Most people really like the reticle.

My only complaint is that it is a little heavier than it needs to be but it is built like a tank.

For anything other than than a winter campaign in the mountains of Afghanistan it will do fine for range, home defense and hunting.
