Used a 5.56 POF, 50 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip at 3100FPS.  Nailed both lungs and nuked his heart.  Dropped instantly.

sure do.  Combine following ingredients - 50gr Nosler Ballistic Tip, 26gr ramshot tac, any semi decent 223 brass trimmed to 1.745 and chamfered, Tula small rifle magnum primer.

Next, insert loaded ingredients into 18" POF AR15 with a cheap 3-9x Nikon scope, PVS-22 UNS and Thunderbeast 223P suppresor.  Call coyote into range with electronic caller, and gently pull trigger until coyote is cooked completely inside.  Garnish.  Serves enough to make 4-6 hippies cry.

Me and a buddy went out hunting at night a couple months ago.  We were talking on the way back to the truck that apparently $10k worth of gear isn't enough to kill a $5 coyote.

Lot more than that

POF upper + lower + cheap scope = $2200
PVS22 = $10,000
223 Can = $1000

$13,200

Not including the foxpro caller, or the $10,000 thermal we used to scout for the mangy fuckers in the first place

100-150 yards.

My buddy and I have hunting access to a medium sized farm about 5 miles east of Denver International Airport.  The owner calls us anytime she hears coyotes barking.  We were 90 minutes away in Fort Collins eating at my house Saturday at 8:30pm when his phone rang with a coyote report.  We promptly tossed all the half eaten dinner plates in my fridge, emptied half the gun safe into the trunk of my Honda, and hauled ass (cue the Benny Hill song for a visual of us packing the car).

We got down there about 10:30ish, and saw a bunny near the farm house as we did our initial scouting.  We zapped him with the suppressed Ruger 22-45, and decided used him as live bait ( Bugs was still alive, as we spined shot him ).  After the initial scouting, we decided based on wind and the verbal report of the farmer to setup near a old barn about 1/2 mile away on the other side of the farm.

The Foxpro was setup about 50 yards away from us next to Bugs (still twitching).  After about 10 minutes of calling, my buddy spots 2 coyotes coming in, and when they both stopped to sniff and investigate the ruckus we were making, I'll nailed the asshole on the left.  Shot made a real nice WHUMP when I hit em.  Couldn't swing fast enough to nail his buddy, but I wasn't going to complain after getting a solid kill.  We later went to the other end of the farm and tried calling, but Wily's friends decided they didn't want to play anymore that night

That's ok, we'll be out there again next weekend, weather permitting.

Already answered that.  The farm in question isn't that far from a main road, and I suspect some of the local gangs from Aurora (about 15-20) minutes away have occasionally stopped by to use the barn to smoke weed and generally fuck around, as the barn is fairly isolated from any of the other buildings in the area.

I always wonder who buys those mega expensive optics that Vic has listed in those announcements at the top of the page.

EdSr showed me a nightvision scope that Goatboy had years ago. I think it was 1x and mounts with an aimpoint. In pitch dark everything looked like it was on a really high quality green TV. I was shocked as the only nightvision I had seen before was russian gen 1 and one of those HUGE cold war US scopes that is the size of a beer keg.

But when he told me the cost

edit you know if I figured out how much I spend on guns and knives and other crap I don't need every year I could probably buy any scope I want in a year or two

Save your nickles and pennies (or sue the fuck out of some rich asshole ), and buy a clip on thermal like a T-50, T-60, or T-70.  Thats the ULTIMATE in night critter removal.

$23,200 per coyote is some expensive eating.
