i know what you mean...i found out a week ago that i've got to start looking for a new job.  lilly went and eliminated several chemist positions, so i wasn't alone.  not many other places in central indiana looking for chemist though.  i just started to like the little farm we bought.  we're also in the middle of building a home.  at least we're young and mobile (no kids in school).

I used to have a problem sleeping but I have control of it now.  I just don't try to go to sleep until I am real tried.  Yes I know it sounds stupid and obvious and that I would never get to sleep when I am supposed to. And yes I do have a few nights with to little sleep but I found that my schedule rites its self with in a few days.  If I did not get enough sleep the night before I am more tired the next night so I can then get to sleep when I am supposed to.  It works very well when you have  fixed time you have to get up in the morning to go to work.

Start slow with number 2, I only take it when I have to and only use as much as necessary.

Uh... how do you feel on 10mg of Ambien? People on the streets pay good money to get that fucked up.

I can never get to sleep before 1 or 2 in the morning no matter how early I get up. For me being tired and getting to sleep have no correlation. It drives me nuts.

Ambian does nothing for me, I cant even feel it. It's like taking baby asprin. When I first started taking it it put me out. But now it does nothing for me.

"insomnia anyone?"

No thanks, already have some most nights.

I've spent a few 24, 36 even to 48 hr. shifts artificially motivated to stay awake.  I think every once in a while a small cell kicks out a remnant from those days and it's [shock] woohoo!!! I can't sleep!!! Or even sit still.  The guys at work threaten to duck tape me to the wall once in a while.

edited to add "hr" and capitalize "I"

Insomnia

I only smoke weed when I need to,
And I need to get some rest,
I confess, I burnt a hole in the mattress,
Yes, yes, it was me, I plead guilty,
And on the count of three I pull back the duvet,
Make my way to the refrigerator,
One dry potato inside, no lie
Not even bread, jam,
When the light above my head went bam!
I can't sleep, something's all over me,
Greasy, insomnia please release me,
And let me dream about making mad love on the heath,
Tearing off tights with my teeth.
But there's no relief,
I'm wide awake in my kitchen,
It's dark and I'm lonely,
Oh, if I could only get some sleep,
Creaky noises make my skin creep,
I need to get some sleep,
I can't get no sleep....

Deep in the bosom of the gentle night
Is when I saw thoughts alight
They caught my pen and start to write
I struggle and fight
Dark forces in the clear moonlight
Without fear
Insomnia

I can't get no sleep

I used to worry
Thought I was going mad
In a hurry get in stress
Making excess mess in darkness
No electricity something's all over me
Greasy insomnia please release me
And let me dream of making mad love to my girl on the heath
Tearing off tights with my teeth
But there's no relief no peace
I toss and turn without cease
Like a curse open my eyes
And rise like yeast

At least a couple of weeks since I last slept
Kept taking sleep pills
But now I keep myself pegged
Deeper still
That night I write by candle light
I find inside fundamental movement

So when it's black this insomniac
Taking original tact
Take the beast in my nature under ceaseless attack
I get no sleep

I can't get no sleep

Its the generic form of Vicodin.

From what I understand of it its not a pain killer in the sense that it dopes you up.
But rather it dulls nerve sensitivity to pain.

I've been on Vicodin and darvaset before for broken bones and mild surgery.  for me It never gave me a buzz it just made the pain less noticeable.

For a pain killer that will give you the proverbial buzz pretty much theres only one good ole morphine.
