Him: "I see that you are listed as a 'Minority/Woman-Owned' business.' Is that still correct?" Me: "Yes." Him: "Can you tell me the ethnicity of the minority owner? Me: "Woman." Him: "But sir, we need to know the ethnicity of the woman." Me: "Why, do you award bids preferentially based on the ethnicity of the woman who owns the business?" Him: "Well, we need to know the ethnicity of the owner." Me: "The State of Florida has certified our company as a 'Minority/Woman-Owned Business.' Him: "Well sir, if you would just tell me the ethnicity of the woman who owns the business..." "No I will not. Any more questions?" <Click> |

They were trying to double dip - take credit 2 different ways to meet some quota or publish some number. It's like hiring a blind, black kesbian intoa company with 10 people and then saying "10% of the employees are women, 10% are lgbt, 10% are disabled, and 10% are African American."
