| Give me the low-down on this, please. I can supposedly get the same service through Straight Talk that I currently do from AT&T, with the exception of throttling cellular data at 2.5GB/month under Straight Talk vs 3.0GB/month under AT&T, for $45/month vs $98/month (bringing my own phone.) So is this really a half-priced lunch, or will I be getting what I'm paying for? |

i bought their simplest flip phone for $50 and use the $30 a month plan.
i just use it for calls and never have come close to the max usage. use it mostly for checking in when i'm out in the mountains alone for safety reasons. never had a problem with reception. |

What kind of phone? Verizon phones can be used but Walmart won't tell you that. Buy their transfer kit and use the sprint SIM card. It works Quoted:

Works great as long as you stay under the data limit. I went over 3g one month and got throttled till a new month started. I cant get 4g speed even though verizon has it in the area. This is my dad's experience, I was wondering if it was just his phone that for some reason couldn't get lte/4g or was it something in the strait talk plans... |

Order the Straight Talk AT&T compatible Bring Your Own Phone SIM, follow the instructions to change a few settings on your phone, and you'll be up a running the on the same AT&T network, including LTE, you use now for $45 per month plus tax. Mine is $49.59 here in IL. If you use Netflix, YouTube or other streaming videos services much, you will hate it. Forums, email, GPS, music, games, apps, whatever is OK. Streaming video will cause you much butthurt. The Customer Service is off-shore, English as a 2nd language, reading from a script, and terrible. Read up on ST at Howard Forums. There is a Straight Talk forum there, with a lot of knowledgeable members. |

I assume straight talk customers take a back seat to regular Verizon customers so no 4g for you. I bought the iphone5 just incase they would allow 4g when it got rolled out but no change yet. Maybe someday. The 3g isnt bad at all. |
