| A couple weeks ago the sequencer on my heat pump got stuck closed and damn near caught the house on fire. Hvac guy came checked everything and replaced the sequencer, thermostat and blower motor as it got very hot and damn near shot. A few days after the new sequencer got stuck but I was home and caught it. Called him back up he replaced the sequencer with a contactor and found out the sequencer wasn't big enough for the heat strips. Now when the unit goes into defrost mode, it sounds like the contactor is continuosly opening and closing. Is this normal? |
