Well, the wife found a year old black lab at an animal shelter. She found it on the internet, he was labeled "urgent," meaning of course that he was going to be put down momentarely.Well, being the softies we are, he came home with us the next day. He's very friendly, still acts like a puppy, wants to be a lap dog, and is 99% house trained. Had one little mishap, but I think that's because he was so excited. He's also a male that has been fixed. We took him to the vet today because he has kennel cough, and to have a checkup and all his shots. We have no idea about his vaccination record. They also drew blood for the heartworm check.They wouldn't give him any shots until he's over his cough (meds for that). He's laying right next to me now, He was able to drag himself away from the fireplace and all his new toys!!! The only damage so far is a broken lamp in the computer room. He managed to get all tangled up in the wires.. Now the problem. How about a name?? I was thinking maybe Hudson (name of our town,). or maybe Sig, or Browning, or Citori. Any suggestions???I would like to stick with something gun or hunting related..... |

[/quote]Decaf Black Coffee![/quote] How about "Sanka"? Seriuosly, I've always wanted a pair of BLs. I'd name them "Hollenhund" & "Shwarz Tod"(which is kraut for Hell Hound and Black Death). Then I'd pay a liberal to come over and beat them everyday while they were puppies so that when they grew into full size they would be able to sniff them out a mile away. |

A Valkyrie was a Viking angel, really. They carried the best and greatest fighters to Valhalla, so that the warriors could fight and feast all day, and have their wounds miracuosly (you know what I'm trying to spell) healed each night by the Valkyrie madiens, so they can fight the next day.
