You're probably working into a heart attack. See a doctor. When a nap comes up on you, grab it and toss it into a knap sack and leave it there till it dies, and rots away. It's trying to kill you. I'm not a physician and I don't play one on the internet. wut |

All I know is I took a nap on the couch a week ago, and I had a dream that I was laying on my couch eating starbursts. I have never had a dream that I was so aware of what I was actually doing outside of dreamland. It was weird. To make it even weirder, I haven't had starbursts in years..I don't even like sweets (unless its apply pie or cobbler) but I woke up with a fucking nagging sweet tooth. All I had to quench it was a piece of bread with peanut butter on it.

On the very rare occasion that I take a nap, they're awesome. But if I'm in the middle of one and someone tries to wake me up I pretty much turn into the Hulk. If I take a nap after 7pm for an hour or so, I'll be up til 3am Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Pretty much this. I've found that a 'catnap,' i.e. 20 minutes in the Barcalounger, are best. Get up and feel refreshed. |
People that take naps are smarter.
Or at least that's what some studies conclude!
I'm 54 and often nap. When we're on shift, not doing any training or important function, and the dailies are knocked out, I tell my crew to nap as needed. I want them at 100% if we get a call. Who ya want coming to get you out of your burning house or crushed car? The guy that's dragging ass from a late night or kids that wouldn't let him sleep, and been awake all day with bleeding eyeballs saluting bugles, or the guy that's 100% rested and ready to roar? I vote yes for the Siesta. ETA: ^ Guy above me knows! |

Naps rock. I can get up around 5am and rock and roll till 1pm. Take a great nap. Start all over @ 2:30 and have REALLY long productive days. I`m 60 and should NOT have waited for retirement to implement this program. this.. Naps on the weekend rock. I am up around 530 then around 1ish hit the couch til 2 or 3. Up until 10 or 11. |

I loves me some weekend afternoon naps. I do not nap during the week. Absolutely. An hour or so nap around 1 is great. And I think we have it backwards. We force little kids to take a nap when they don't want to, but don't allow adults to take a nap when they do want to. |
