We got our first 'trace' amount of snow for several weeks, last night.  Will all of you in the South quit hogging all of the snow and send it back to Alaska?  No snow means no snow machine riding or varmint hunting!

Just a tip,

Clean off your windshields with a broom or something, don't try and turn on your wipers to move all that snow you'll likely blow a fuse if your lucky or the wiper motor if you're not...

Cheers from NH.

That's the difference between wet eastern snow and dry western snow.  Most days I can literally blow the off my windshield.

I'm curious how much your Highway Dept. has in terms of any snow removal equipment.   We need it up here, but I would think any DPW with a chance of snow might at least have a couple vehicles with plows that could be attached.

They plowed all night, but didn't make the main road look passable until about noon today. They probably haven't touched any side roads. I only live about 5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and am surrounded by mountains on three sides, so the state guys are a little better prepared to handle snow here than in Raleigh and places like it.

I can't speak for OP but my county which sees snow about once every three years or so seems to have plenty. All the highways were easily passable throughout the entire event.  This morning some of the secondary roads were a still a little iffy but I drove in to town to get groceries and saw lots of plows, tractors, etc. cleaning roads and parking lots.  That said, we didn't get as much as OP, maybe around 6" total.

We got hit last week about 6-8" in this area. on a leeward side of a hill so not that much.
Temps high 40s lower 50s raining off and on. was BLUSTERY last night.

Got a feeling we are going to get a round 2 sooner than later.
