I mean informal, nothing super complicated. Just showing or helping some learn the basics of handling, shooting, loading, unloading, etc.??

I ask because these days with all the liabilities. Someone shoots themselves or YOU and suddenly you are in deep doodoo! Anyone do this or think about doing it??

This is why I went ahead and got my NRA instructor certification and insurance, even when teaching non-NRA courses, the fact that I'm a certified NRA instructor lends some credibility that I know at least some of what I'm talking about.
