I have no idea if this has been done before, but I would like to introduce Alan Watts to Arfcom.

I know there is a lot of fighting between incredibly religious folks and hardcore athiest/scientific people.

One side is showing a severe left brain dominant world view and the other a right brain one.

The key is to develop both sides or you will never learn anything. (Alan Watts didn't say any of this, I did)

So here are some videos that may expand your horizons and if it does great, if it doesn't then that's great too.

The past starts now......Self implies others.....When I die, I will just be born as somebody else....We are all one

I don't dislike his videos, but it just sounds like a bunch of philosophical mumbo jumbo to me.   Then again, maybe I'm just not smart enough to grasp just what the fuck he's saying.  That's certainly is a possibility.

Alan Watts (influences of Zen, Tao, Vedanta) made a big impact in my early teenage years when I read most of his books. It's not like I wanted to drop acid and put on a robe and try to be like him; more that I got some alternative ways of looking at things that I've never been able to shake in the decades since, in particular the notion that the universe could be more of a dance than an unending series of conflicts.

While still 95% of me thinks that one always should be striving at something so that later one is prepared for that other thing so that eventually one can accomplish the next thing, there's still a little voice saying:

"A cat sits until it is tired of sitting, then gets up, stretches, and walks away."

I just see most of arfcom as always pointing outside of themselves and saying he is wrong or that is wrong and pointing at evil in the world.

I know this is gd so I wasn't really expecting too many to agree with him or hell even watch any one of the videos, but I figure it will help someone who as some questions.

You have to be the change you want to see.

Meh, everybody knows that James Watt ripped off his discoveries from Nikola Tesla.
