I did a side job for roughly 1000 dollars last year. I didn't fill any paperwork out for the company at any time. It was over 6 months ago and I haven't heard from the company since.
Today they send me an email request for a W-9. I already filed my taxes. From what I gathered online, I should fill out the W-9, get a 1099 from them, and if the IRS doesn't catch it, I have to fill out a 1040x. I am not real savvy on tax forms and protocols. Sound about right? |
